Don Broco- o2 Academy Brixton, 13/12/15

Don Broco, o2 Academy Brixton.
The gig I've been waiting months for.
Finally came and now's in the past. I know I often say it was one of the best shows I've ever been to, but honestly... it was. And if you were there two, you'll definitely agree with me!

From the minute I entered that venue, you could just feel in the air, this show was gunna be something else.
The stage design was the best I'd ever seen. Nothing screams Broco more than palm trees.

Once everyone was in, the first support act was up.
Broco had some quality support acts on the road with them which consisted of Symmetry, Arcane Roots and Coasts.
First up, was Symmetry. I had already heard of these guys when they were "supposed" to support Room 94 back in March on their UK tour but they dropped out the London date and a few other to tour with McBusted.
I must admit, I was expecting much. I immediately judged them as your average wanna-be pop punk band. Now I would like to apologize to Symmetry for my complete inaccurate judgement.
Their set was just what the crowd needed to get everybody up and hyped and ready to party.
Next up was Arcane Roots. I had done my research and I particually liked "If Nothing Breaks, Nothing Moves" and I was excited to see this live.
Overall they had a really good set and its clear they are very talented musicians.
After Arcane Roots, it was time for the final support act. I will always be honest in this blog so by this time I was just liked "ugh, hurry up, I can't be arsed for one more support, I wanna see Broco" BUT AGAIN, my judgement was wrong and Coasts were my favourite support of the night.
They had so much energy and thinking back to their set now makes me really happy. They are seriously awesome. Check them out if you get the chance. They have some real great songs, my favourites being "Oceans" and "Modern Love" (which also happened to be all I was singing the next week after). I would love the chance to see Coasts again in 2016.
Once after all the supports were over, the whole crowd were excitedly buzzing for Broco to take the stage. I hate that anticipated wait when the song finishes and then everybody's like OMG hoping its about to start then another song starts. This happened so much that by the time came and the lights went down, I was not ready and was compressed against the barrier xD.
Broco's set was as usual incredible, you can always tell they are enjoying themselves and that's something I really love about this band. I know playing Brixton is a huge milestone for them and it has always been a dream of theirs. It was so special being there to see them achieve this.
Their set was perfect with the perfect mixture of old and new tunes, I will post the set list at the bottom in case your interested.

I thought it was worth including my famous picture of Tom mid fall on stage which is currently his profile picture on Instagram and Twitter. A proud moment for me! XD Although it was the smoothest recovery I have ever seen, backwards rolling off the box and sticking the landing. Sorry Tom, it was too funny not to mention.
Bobby pre-crowd surf.
During the encore, they even had fireworks which I had never seen at a Broco gig before. It was a nice detail to end the show as well as ending 2015 with their last show of the year.
And so, that was it! Last show of the year and Broco ended it perfectly! I've seen many bands this year but over this past year, I've learnt I will always feel at home at a Broco gig.
You could say I have a "Superlove" for Don Broco. (See what I did there xD) and its something I'm not ashamed to admit. I bloody love those guys. Talented as hell, as well as some of the friendliest and genuine people I've ever met. I can only thank Broco so much for 5 spectacular gigs across this year and putting up with my face in the crowd. I can't wait to see what they bring to the table in 2016.

I also wanna thank my 'Brohoes' as we like to call each other who have been with me at every gig. It wouldn't be as fun without you guys going crazy and loosing your shiz beside me!
I also want to mention all of you I've met at Broco gigs this year. It's been lovely to meet you all and I hope to see you at even more Broco gigs in 2016.

Day Out In London

Hey Everybody! Hope you are well! It feels like forever since I last posted :( for the moment I will just be blogging when I can as I'm trying to keep on top of my school work.

So it was half term last week and on Tuesday, my mum, sister and I went out into London for the day.

When we arrived in Kings Cross and were on our way to the tube we spotted (it wasn't hard to miss to be fair) the massive Rememberance Poppy. I had never been to London during this time of the year and it was nice to see things like this around London throughtout the day to remember those whos fought and died for our country.
We wanted to go to Harrods so we made our way down to South Kensington. I really wanted to practice photography so I tried all the touristy things like taking pictures of famous buildings in London. On route to Harrods is the V&A museam which is one of my favourite places in London. I loved the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibition and the Shoe exhbition which I visited in the summer. I look forward to more fashion exhibitions in the future. Definetly recommend going to them if you get the chance! So yes, I love the V&A and also just the look of the building itself.
Its well into Autumn now, a very beautiful time of year in the UK. The trees were all beautiful shades of red, orange, yellow and brown. Definitely has a rather magical feel about the place, especially when the sun is shining.
Further down on our route to Harrods, we walked past the London Oratory which looked really beautiful this autumn day against the clear skies.
While waiting for the green man, I was sort of vacantly staring at the road then this beauty catches my eye. A Bentley roles up and not just a Bentley, a Gold Bentley! Car goals much! XD
I couldn't not of taken a photo of this. I mean come on, its stunning.

When drivers were given the green man, I could only watch and pray no-one crashes into it. If it was my car, I would be scared to take it out. I would probably cry if it got pigeon poo on it let alone a huge ass dent.
Luckily, it drove off safely, no crashes, no scratches and off into the distance it went. May be slightly too obsessed with this car. I mean whoever said cars couldn't be a thing for girls too! ;)

By this time, it was lunchtime and we were all pretty hungry so we stopped at the Grand Caffe Concerto. This is my favourite restraunt ever in London. I 100% recommend visiting if your around South Kensington/ Knightsbridge.
I personally go for the Penne Arrabiata which is my fav pasta dish but they also do afteroon teas which I hope to try one day and they look amazing! The interior is stunning aswell with large chandaliers and mirrors, it defiently has the Grand feeling to it. Its reasonably priced too which is a bonus!
When we finally reached Harrods we had to go to the Christmas section, how could we not of? I felt like a child again, running round looking at all the toys. It's always so warm in there though which does make it a little stressful when in there, plus the hundreds of people around you.
However, it was so festive in there which I loved. I think if 6 year old me discovered Harrods at Christmas, I would of definetly lost my shiz.

I particularly loved the decoration around the archways. It looked so magical and I couldn't help but gaze at it every time I went to walk through and of course by me not watching where I was going, I walked into a few people. My bad.

What's your favourite places to go in London? Do you have any recommendations of places I should visit? Let me know in the comments below!

Halloween 2015

Halloween is one of my most favourite times of year! I love everything to do with it, from creepy costumes, disgustingly sugary sweets and to the mad parties with the spooky décor. Halloween is something I really love to go all out on.

This year I was invited to my friends fancy dress party which lots of good fun.
I really wanted to have a really cool, original costume this year but I didn't really want to spend lots during this time so I opted for your basic witch, although I did put my own spin on it.
My costume sort of reminded me of what the witches in American Horror Story wear.

My costume pretty much consisted of items I already had in my wardrobe...
  1. A polka dot shirt I got from Select last year for my sixth form open day.
  2. A black pleated skirt my sister gave me that she no longer wanted.
  3. My aunties black trench coat from George at Asda that I borrowed for a smart day that I forgot to give back.
  4. Black long socks I brought for a cheerleading competition in Nottingham 5 years ago.
  5. A cheap witches hat from Home Bargains.
The only items I brought new was my necklaces and my shoes which were both purchases from H&M.

Here are some selfies I got from the night. I hope you had a great Halloween and I will see you in my next blog post!

Warped UK, Alexandra Palace, 18/10/15

WOOOOO! Warped UK! I've been so pumped for this day ever since my lovely mother (thanks mum!) brought me a ticket back in June I think it was. The day had seemed so far away and now it was finally here!

Myself and my friends got the train to Finsbury Park and then changed and got the train to Alexandra Palace station. We then braved the hill and eventually got to the top. I've been to Ally Pally many times before so I already knew that the hills a killer, although I'm not too sure my friends were prepared for it.
When we all managed to catch our breath again we walked round to the Palm Court Entrance and began queuing.
Queuing wasn't to bad this time as the weather was nice and I was in good company. Damon Fizzy also ran past vlogging so I'm yet to see if I'm in his vlog or not. We also had a really lovely security guard, lets call her June. June was super lovely and told us the basic rules and layout of Ally Pally and she also told us where she would be located during the day (outside the ladies bathroom in the main hall) and if we needed help/were injured/in trouble to come and see her and she would help us. Gotta love June!
I also was really happy with the venue choice because Ally Pally is such a beautiful place. The interior has a sort of grand feeling to it and from the outside it has a beautiful view of London and you can even see the Shard.
It was nice to be back because last time I was at Ally Pally it was for a careers convention that I went to with school which wasn't the most enjoyable day but I could already feel it was gunna be an awesome day.
First up was the Attila signing. While we were queuing, The Word Alive were playing. I had never heard of them before but their set was really good.
These are my selfies I got from the Attila signings. They were super lovely but it was a shame I didn't have much of a conversation with them, The Word Alive were being far too loud to hear what anyone was saying. I am thankful for meeting them though.
I also got a signed picture of them for free which was really nice of them as some bands make you pay to meet them.
After meeting Attila we went to watch Ghost Town. I had heard of them but I didn't know any songs but my friends recommended I go watch them and they were really good.
After watching Ghost Town we went back to the Merch Market. I really liked this idea of having all the merch in one place and it was nice to see that room in a much appealing state compared to how it was last time as a business skill and portfolio building conference room when I went to the careers convention. Not so fun.
I brought some Young Guns and FVK merch and I really want to be able to use these in my next outfit posts as these are some really great pieces. Also big shoutout to Tilly for being the bestest friend ever. You know why! :D
Speaking of FVK that's were we headed next...
FVK's set was the one I was most looking forward to and I was really excited to hear 'Like Bruises' live for the first time. It was also awesome to see that quite a large crowd had gathered to see them and I know that would of meant a lot to them.

As always their set was fantastic and they did not disappoint. I loved how happy they all looked on stage and it was awesome to see them really enjoying themselves. Unfortunately, there was some technical difficulties but that didn't stop them and I'm proud of them for carrying on and not letting it spoil their performance.
After their set they met fans at the merch stand (as always) and everyone got pictures. I love the picture I got with them, silly pictures are my favourite and it makes me really happy looking at it. Kier went all out on the stupid face and what makes me laugh even more was that when Shane saw the picture he said it looked like Laurence was in goal. xD
I got to see Attila for the second time. I don't know why, but I bloody love Attila. I sometimes get asked 'Why is it you even like about Attila' or 'I'ts just screaming swear words, how could you enjoy that?'.
I don't even know how to answer it other than I just love Attila and that is it. Attila's set was bad-ass and has the biggest circle pit I had ever seen. The set was awesome and I can't wait for them to come back to the UK.
Next we went to see Frank Carter And The Rattlesnakes who were awesome. I had never heard them before but they were really heavy which I loved. If they are ever at a festival I'm at again, I would defiantly try to catch their set again.
I was so excited when Zoe London tweeted saying she was going to Warped. She is my favourite lifestyle blogger ever! I was really hoping I would meet her this time as I missed her at Reading and Slam Dunk this year as the venues were just too big. I was actually watching Frank Carter And The Rattlesnakes to begin with but I had lost half my friends so I texted them asking where they were and I got a reply saying 'COME TO FVK MERCH NOW' (hehe thank you Kaitlan) so I thought, oh FVK must be meeting people again or something. So I went to the FVK merch where I found my friends and also Zoe!
Zoe was so lovely and she's one of those people who you immediately get along with. We all chatted for ages and fangirled about Don Broco. My friends had asked her if she could write me a lil message type thing in case I didn't get there in time (which was so nice of them, thank you Phemie and Kaitlan!xxx) which Zoe gave to me when I got there, if your reading this Zoe, thank you so much! It was awesome to meet you!xxx
Young Guns were up next and I was ssooooooo excited to see them again! They played Kerrang Tour 2015 but were only on stage for 15 minutes and that was nowhere near enough time for such an awesome band.

They played songs off their new album 'Ones And Zeros' and it was so cool to here those live for the first time. Young Guns also are one of those bands who have an incredible stage presence as well as incredible music which definitely makes them one of my top bands ever. I really hope I will get the chance to see Young Guns again soon and if you have never heard of them, do yourself a massive favour and check them out and I promise you won't regret it!

Time for the last band of the day, Black Veil Brides. It was amazing to see them again after a year. Their set was fantastic but its just a shame I didn't enjoy myself as much as I could. My feet were killing me by that time and I wanted to sit down so badly but I powered through and enjoyed myself as much as I could do.
It's not like this put a downer on my day because it didn't. I was just already so happy with the day I'd had and I was so exhausted.
Although I was a little worried because of the heat coming off the pyros wasn't making me feel that great. There's always someone who passes out in a BVB crowd and I didn't want to be one of them.
By the encore, I could feel myself becoming a little more awake and was able to sing along to 'In The End' and catch as much confetti as I could (although I don't know where I put it xD).

After BVB's set my friends and I regrouped together again and reflected on how good the day had been whilst walking to the train station but we were all pretty much dead on the train back home.
You know its been a good day when that happens!

So my first ever Warped UK was definitely a day to remember in all good ways. I'm still feeling the buzz from it now writing this blog almost a week later.
Did any of you go to Warped UK? Let me know what you favourite part of the day was in the comments!
